Ibanez takes things a few steps further with this model, extending the lower range by adding a bottom B string, and making the fingerboard fretless. Maybe you've always loved the alive, vocal-like tone of a fretless bass, but you've always worried about making the transition. Ibanez helps you out with easy to see, yet unobtrusive markers so you can keep notes as in tune as you want, but still have the killer scoops and slides only possible on a fretless. Not only do you have the added lows of the 5th string, the extreme cutaway of the EW body style allows you easy access to the uppermost positions of all 5 strings.
  
  All this fabulous sound is accurately amplified by the Fishman® Sonicore® Pickup. The Ibanez AEQ-SST Shape-Shifter™ preamp offers great control over your signal and features an onboard tuner to allow you to tune quickly and easily anytime, anywhere.
