  Audio multitrack recording
  Designed to record multitrack audio live or in the studio, ACID Pro 6 lets you arm multiple tracks with flexible input routing, record selected events, choose from multiple takes, and punch in and out easily. Pro 6 supports ReWire and VST plug-ins and comes with 20 DirectX effects. You can also use VST synths with support for multiple output ports and individual mute, solo, effects, and volume controls for each synth bus. It also supports 5.1 surround mixing, external control surfaces, and project sections that let you rearrange MIDI and audio segments across multiple tracks.
  
  MIDI sequencing
  ACID Pro 6 lets you record and edit MIDI note and controller data on a timeline with piano roll or grid views. You can enter notes through an external MIDI controller or with ACID's onscreen keyboard, then audition before committing. You can edit MIDI events directly in the timeline, quantize data in events, edit velocity value, change duration, or transpose MIDI data. It's also easy to create and edit drum maps for hardware or software-based MIDI synths and drum machines.
